Mr Bice Osei Kuffour, Acting Managing Director of Ghana Post Limited has paid a working visit to the Western Regional Minister, Mr Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah in Sekondi, Western Region.
The visit was to enable the Ghana Post to deepen its collaborative relationship with the Western Regional Coordinating Council (WRCC), which is essential for its operations in the Western Region.
Discussions were centered on how best the services such as postal, courier and financial services of the Ghana Post Limited could be promoted, in the quest to achieve its objectives.
Mr Darko-Mensah in his submission said the Region was going through a focused and deliberate infrastructural transformation which will easily help the company to gladly extend its services to the remote areas in line with the company’s objective of expanding the postal network to viable areas.
He indicated that the Region has many of its indigenes in the diaspora and for that matter, the WRCC will as a matter of priority work closely with Ghana Post to ensure the resilience of their financial services especially, the remittance service.
He, therefore, encouraged them to grow to become like Japan Post with their vast asset base because they cannot continue to play second fiddle to any courier service.
