Overview
Assessment of the youth unemployment situation in Ghana has revealed that there are proportions of young persons who have acquired some skills from the technical and vocational institutions including apprenticeship training but need retraining to make them succeed in Ghana’s changing labour market. There are proportions of unemployed youth desiring skills training and retraining, apprenticeship, or job attachment programs to enhance chances of getting paid or self-employment.
The program focuses on equipping startups with the basic skills required to launch and run their businesses at the early stage of their growth. We will bring together the best tools and frameworks to teach and improve entrepreneurship skills in the Western Region and Ghana.
The Program will bring entrepreneurs from various industries to the class to inspire, educate and mentor students on the importance of entrepreneurship by sharing their entrepreneurial journey and experiences on how they started, the mistakes they made, challenges they faced and how they dealt with those challenges. It will cover topics on starting and scaling a business, business development, marketing strategy, effective management and product design among others.

Objectives
- To educate and support students on the sustainable use of resources and the need to add value to resources available to them.
- To build the capacity of students and beneficiaries in entrepreneurship and small business development.
- To develop adequate practical and entrepreneurial skills to enable graduates to participate fully in the society and economic development of the nation.
- To train students to develop appropriate skills and attitudes for patriotism and national development.
- To equip students with the requisite entrepreneurial skills necessary for industrial development.
Target
Artisans (mechanics, carpenters, masons, air condition & refrigeration repairers, artefacts designers, etc.), petty traders and traders, commercial drivers, youth groups, startups, religious leaders, women groups, fishmongers, market women, community leaders, professionals, etc.
Duration
Four (4) Weeks free basic certificate program, and Twelve (12) Weeks for the advanced certificate program.
Certification
On successful completion of the Program, both Basic and Advanced students are awarded Graduate Certificate of Completion and Advanced Graduate Certificate of Completion respectively in Entrepreneurship from the Center or its Affiliates.
Entry Requirements
Applicants should note that the following entrance qualifications are recommended for those wishing to undertake this program. A first Degree, Diploma or Highest National Diploma (HND), SSCE, NVTI, BECE or other.
