Volta Region’s finest Hotel, Agblor Lodge Beach Resort, has been adjudged the winner of the Most Digitalised Hotel of the Year Award (Budget Category) during the just ended 5th edition of the Ghana Hotels Association (GHA) Awards held at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.
The prestigious award was in recognition of the proprietor of the Hotel’s dedication and commitment to building the hospitality industry as well as being a highly respected advocate for best practices in the tourism sector.
Addressing the media after receiving the award, Regent Godwin Kodzovi Ahadzi, Proprietor of the Hotel, was grateful to the Almighty God, the government, the organizers of the Award, the staff of the Hotel, and their cherished clients.
”I am very excited to see this day. I am indeed grateful to the Almighty God, the award organizers, the government, my able staff, and most especially my cherished customers. I want to say a very big thank you to the owner of the Aborigines Beach Resort for his unflinching support always”, he said.
Regent Kodzovi Ahadzi used the occasion to urge customers both home and abroad to keep visiting the award-winning hotel located at Keta in the Volta Region at their leisure for comfort and security in Ghana and Africa.

This year’s Ghana Hotels Association Awards held by the GHA which was under the theme, “Resilience” saw a lot of industry players including the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr Mark Okraku Mantey, coming together to promote quality standards in the hospitality sector.
Regent Godwin Kodzovi Ahadzi, the founder of Agblor Lodge was a professional teacher and a banker who worked with Barclays Bank (now Absa) for 25 years and the Bank of Ghana (BOG) for 10 years.
Specializing in the rehabilitation of distressed rural banks, he is helping Keta together with other hoteliers to regain its past glory through the promotion of tourism thereby creating jobs for the generality of the people in and outside the Keta Municipality.
The mission of Agblor Lodge is to be a leader in the hospitality industry, in particular, beachfront development. In November 2021, it won the Best Beach Resort of the Year in the Volta Region, at an event organized by the GHA, Volta Regional Branch.
