Operation Hernia-UK and the Ghana Hernia Society in collaboration with the Western Regional Health Directorate and the Western Division of the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) is organising Groin Hernia Surgeries for the people of the Western Region and its environs.
A statement issued and copied to iGOGHANA said the surgeries will be done from Tuesday, 8th February 2022 to Saturday, 12th February 2022, from 8:00 am each day.
Persons with groin hernia are therefore encouraged to report to the underlisted hospitals for screening and booking, which has been started from today Monday, 31st January to Friday, 4th February 2022.
The hospitals where the surgeries will be done include Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital, Takoradi Hospital, Essikado Hospital, Kwesimintsm Hospital and GHPA Hospital.
The public is therefore encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity before it ends.
Meanwhile, patrons and members of the public are also reminded that the Surgery will be free for all valid NHIS cardholders.
