The Federation of Handicrafts Producers, Dealers and Exporters, have refuted claims and reportages circulating on social media that the Marine Drive Investment Project has demolished the Arts Center and relocated them to Dodowa.
The Federation, made up of five (5) Associations of handcrafts practitioners condemned the claims with the contempt it deserves and urged the public to ignore them.
According to the Coordinator of the Federation, Bright Antwi, as it stands now, it was only the administration of the Centre for National Culture (CNC) that was relocating to the Ghana House prior to the demolishing of their structures after 30th January 2022.
He said the Federation with its members was still occupying the Arts Centre and will be there until the Kawukudi and Dodowa sites were ready per the agreement with the Marine Drive Investment Project and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MoTAC).
He said the Federation was therefore informing the general public and the world at large that the Art Centre Market was still at its current location and that no part of it had been demolished as it had been speculated.
