The Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah has revealed that the Seven (7) Member Committee for the Appiatse reconstruction has been given clearance for blocks moulding to begin to fast track the reconstruction of the Appiatse community after it was ruined by an explosion.
The Minister said this when he visited Appiatse with the Appiatse Reconstruction Committee members to inspect the place and had a board meeting with the Prestea Huni-Valley Municipal Assembly (PHVA) all in relation to the reconstruction of the Appiatse community.
The Minister indicated that the moulding of the blocks would be contracted to the youth of Appiatse as a source of income to them and also warn intruders to stay away from infiltrating their way through the contract since the law will deal with them when caught.
Chairman of the Appiatse Reconstruction Committee who is also the Deputy Minister in charge of Forestry, Benito Owusu-Bio also assured the people of Appiatse of their commitment and said the Committee will see to it that work is done in the fastest manner to bring back the community for the people to go back to their root.
Nana Atta Kojo Bremebi, Chief of Bepoh and a member of the Committee implored the people to remain calm since the reconstruction will begin soon.
He also assured that anyone whose land will be affected in the process of the reconstruction will be given a new one and warned the people to stay away from bringing false documents for their own benefits of the reconstruction.
