The planning committee of the 65th independence day celebration has outlined their programs at Cape Coast in the central region with a theme: “Working Together, Bouncing Back Together”.
The Director of Operations at the Presidency, who is also the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Mr Lord Commey highlighted the program of activities and also gave the essence for which Cape Coast was chosen to host the program.
Speaking to the media, Mr Lord Commey pointed out that the industrialization drive of the Central Region began with the commissioning of Ekumfi Juices Factory under the one-district one-factory (1D1F) initiative.
He added that the President’s vision was to create jobs for the youth and called on all Ghanaians to show patriotism by hosting Ghana flags.
The Central Regional Minister, Madam Justina Marigold Assan on her part thanked the president for choosing the region to host the program.
She said the President’s vision for the region was to ensure the industrialization of the region and create jobs for the people.
The operations manager Ekumfi of Juices Factory, Mr Kobby Acquaah showed their appreciation for partnering this year’s anniversary.
He indicated that there were numerous opportunities in the Central Region yet to be tapped.
He added that the industrialization agenda of the region is in the right direction, especially its location.
