Mr Charles Cobbina, a Western Regional Secretary hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has advised the delegate in the region to welcome all the candidates who will contest for the various positions in the upcoming constituency, regional and executive elections for a peaceful process.
He said the well-being of the NPP grassroots must be a precondition when rallying behind a candidate going into the 2022 Regional elections and that it was paramount for members to ensure that the right candidates were voted into office since there was no other time to set the right course than now.
He noted that if one patiently served the party and humbled him/herself to the authorities, they will surely be rewarded when they contest for any position in the party and will be well recognized by the party’s rank and file as well.
Mr Cobbina who was speaking in an interview in Takoradi also advised the delegates of the party to be critical in electing committed members to serve them.
According to him, sometimes people take the advantage of serving the party for a long period but later cause chaos to the party and for that matter, delegates should watch out for those who have conducted themselves well and vote for them to bring success to the party.
“We should know how to speak to the elderly people in the party and know the right person to make our complaints to when there are issues. That’s the culture of the party”, he pointed out.
Mr Cobbina who is popularly known in public as “Kempes” announced that when the time comes for the elections to be held, he would come to them and present what he can do to move the progress of the party forward.
“Politics may seem to have many shades, however, we can’t taint what we have the desire to protect. People can have ‘no’ as an opinion but we have ‘all’ it takes to make it ‘yes’ as a political party. Our hard work is keen but our smartness is the ultimate”, he stated.
The Western Regional Secretary hopeful reiterated his resolute to be for all in that it takes inclusiveness to win power and added that breaking the eight (8) was utterly possible.
He was of the view that breaking the 8 will be an innovative achievement as well as the agenda 17/17 where all the 17 seats in the region would be swooped by the NPP, adding that the Western Region needs an innovative strategist and an innovative administrative secretary who is a firm believer of positivity.
