Western Regional Secretary hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Charles Cobbina has reiterated that it will be in the best interest of the rank and file of the party in the region to elect him ahead of the 2024 general elections, especially when the NPP targets breaking the year’s jinx.
Mr Cobbina popularly known as Kempes contended that he is the rightful candidate to be elected for the Regional Secretary position of the NPP and that he is coming with a clean heart because he even prays for his competitors.
He pointed out that he was approved to contest the party’s election because of his competence, experience, commitment to the party and the business of the government of the party as well as his exposure and wide network.
According to him, he has a bigger connection worldwide than any of his competitors and for that matter, he will use that to gather more resources to help the party when he gets the nod as the Regional Secretary.
Addressing party delegates and the media at Wassa Akropong in the Amenfi East Constituency, Mr Cobbina emphasized, “I will put the interest of the Executives at the center of my administration when I am voted to be the next Secretary of the party in the region.
He divulged that the party’s grassroots in the region have strong confidence in him to lead them to secure all seats that were lost in the 2020 general election and also enhance its presidential fortunes.
He opined that with the grassroots’ confidence in him, he has no reason to fail them adding, “I have therefore encouraged the delegates to look for one who is widely connected, dynamic, strategic, charismatic, affable, God-fearing, dedicated, inspiring, innovative and an action-oriented person to lead the administration of the party.”
He used the occasion to answer questions from the delegates who were satisfied with the answers he gave and his resolution to consult the grassroots on matters arising and putting the Executives at the center of his administration.
Mr Charles Cobbina a.k.a. Kempes is Number 4 on the ballot, where everything settles. He has the Ahwenepa Nkasa clothe as his trademark.
