
The Deputy National Women’s Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hajia Sawudatu Saeed, has assured women organisers of the party across the country of her commitment to promoting their welfare if voted as the next National Women’s Organizer of the party.
Hajia who served as Deputy National Women’s Organizer for two terms under two national women’s organizers said she will make the welfare of women an integral part of her administration to improve the electoral fortunes of the party.
Speaking to journalists shortly after picking her nomination forms to contest for the position of the National Women’s Organizer, the experienced female politician, currently a Deputy Director-General of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) unleashed her curative plans for the party.
She picked the nomination form at the NPP headquarters in Accra on Thursday 9th June 2022 to contest for the national women’s organiser position.
In line with protocol, she was warmly welcomed by Mrs Sarah Kobbina, a member of the National Elections Committee of the NPP.
Hajia Saeed pointed out that she will establish the Women’s Wing Welfare (WWW) fund to help women organisers in need, cater for children of deceased women organizers, offer monthly allowances for women organizers, offer scholarships for children of women organisers and introduce awards scheme for hard-working, committed and result oriented women organisers.
In addition, she said, she will always strive to improve the welfare of every member of the women’s wing, which will ensure massive support for the grassroots, for the empowerment of young women through fair distribution of jobs.
She added that she will always strive to offer vibrant, dynamic, all-inclusive leadership that will positively engage the regional, constituency and polling station women’s organizers and recognize their efforts and reward them accordingly.
Hajia Saeed further reiterated that she will always put in effect, the measures required for resource mobilization and fair distribution of same.
“I will always strive to be honest, reliable and trustworthy and a companion to everyone. I will always be a unifier and avoid deliberate decisions or actions which may either, directly or indirectly cause harm to others’ lives, images, emotions or relationships”, she stated.
She also promised to strive to promote the Women’s Wing and protect the credibility and reputation of every member of the party.
“My dear patriotic women, I humbly seek your mandate to work harder together with you for the betterment of the women’s wing and to ‘break the historic 8’ as women’s organiser”, she concluded.
