Mr Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, Western Regional Minister has donated fifteen (15) hair dryers and fifteen sewing machines to some well-skilled fashion designers and hairdressers at the New Takoradi Upper Town in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis (STMA).
The donation was to augment the operations of the already existing businesses and also, to aid those who passed out from their training to commence their own businesses.
Addressing beneficiaries at a short ceremony, the Minister who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Takoradi constituency encouraged them to take up the initiative of going through the training, both madams and masters as well as the apprentices.
He said the gesture was in fulfilment of a promise made to them in resourcing them with the equipment for their work and hence honouring the promise.
Mr Darko-Mensah pointed out that his goal for the constituents was to make sure that people who acquire skills become self-sufficient, whereby they will reliably have various business activities to ensure their constant flow of income.
