An emotional United States Vice President, Kamala Harris, almost fainted after exploring the dank dungeons of Cape Coast Castle in Ghana, the final location where many enslaved Africans were transported to the Americas during colonization.
In a statement to the media on Tuesday, Kamala Harris asked that the accounts of the sufferings of Africans be shared.
She made the statement after she had just passed through the final location from which many enslaved Africans were transported to the Americas.
She cited the experiences and survivals of the people as the reason for this, saying that they represent a tale of tenacity, faith, and belief in the possibilities.

“Despite numerous odds intended to destroy them, destroy their spirits, and place them in precarious positions where they would feel less than humans and full human beings, they lived. And they share a different story – one of perseverance, faith, and believing in the potential”, she intimated.
According to her, the past not only reveals each person’s capacity for survival but also for success, thus all these tales must be recounted.
“The pain we all experience and the anguish that emanates from this place must be conveyed through all of these stories”, she emphasized.
