
The Western Regional Minister, Mr Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah has assured that the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange which has been stalled for a while would be completed at the stipulated time.
He said Ghana’s economy was getting better after it suffered setbacks from the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war.
Mr Darko-Mensah made the remark during a community engagement at the Presby Electoral Area to address some concerns of the residents and the economy.
He refuted the allegations that the interchange has been abandoned and said the project will duly be completed as planned.

He disclosed that the Western Region was benefiting from numerous roads which were ongoing across the length and breadth of the region and cited the Tarkwa – Agona Ahanta road, and the Takoradi – Sekondi road among others.
He noted that civil service was lucrative but private work was more lucrative and encouraged them to create their own businesses so as to better their lot.
Mr Darko-Mensah who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Takoradi Constituency hinted that he has built four (4) new kindergarten in the constituency under the Nana-Addo administration which was an indication of the good performance of the NPP-administration.
He commended the party faithful in the electoral area for their massive support and promised to pay attention to their requests.
He noted that some people and even members of the party have been peddling falsehood about him and implored them to rubbish such rumours.
The attendees took turns to ask questions bothering them and the Area which were addressed by Mr Darko-Mensah and the team.
In addressing the concerns, the MP promised to liaise with the respective offices responsible to provide solutions to the concerns for redress.
The event was the fifth in the series which begun with the New Takoradi, Essikafo-Ambantem No. 2, Zenith, and Amanful Electoral Areas.
The Assembly Member for the Area, Teacher Oduro praised the MP for his continuous support any time they needed help.
